Lots 6948 and 6949 in Çeşme, İzmir, have a building coefficient of 0.15, where only small scale commercial facilities such as restaurants, cafes, bars, swimming pools, children’s pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball fields are allowed.
When planning, care was taken not to disturb the topography of the site; to free the center of the site for landscaped green areas, social and sports activities, pools, club houses and children’s play areas; whereas the perimeter of the site was allocated to commercial use, thereby giving the cafes, bars and restaurants unobstructed views of Çeşme.
Four abandoned windmills on the site are to be conserved and restored, so that they may be given new functions and also help define outdoor spaces together with the new buildings.
